The Denim Project by A Hundred Hands transforms discarded jeans into thoughtfully designed lifestyle products while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities. What began through a collaboration with the psychiatric unit at NIMHANS to provide vocational opportunities has grown into a community-driven initiative supported by donations of old denim from individuals, stores and organizations.
Every piece of denim is carefully repurposed into products such as bags, wallets, laptop and iPad sleeves, pouches, pencil cases and home accessories, ensuring that almost nothing goes to waste. By combining sustainability with skilled craftsmanship, The Denim Project gives old denim a new life while supporting fair and dignified livelihoods.
